Short Bio

Yibo Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Wyoming. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Syracuse University, where he was a member of the FSSL Lab advised by Dr. Yuzhe Tang. He also holds an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a B.E. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

His research interest lies in systems security, software engineering, and performance optimization in blockchains and other emerging distributed/decentralized systems.

His recent work addresses automatic design-flaw discovery via fuzzing (USENIX Security’24), denial of service security (S&P’25, CCS’21), cost optimization (FSE’21, TSE’23), and network measurement (IMC’21), all in permissionless blockchains, like Ethereum.
